At Bonnot Paris, every stone is selected for its rarity, its quality and its ethical sourcing, ensuring full traceability, exceptional standards and fair pricing.
Pink tourmaline is a variety of tourmaline whose colour ranges from soft, powdery blush to vivid pink. The most intense specimens, verging on pink-red, are known as rubellites and are particularly sought after. The colour is largely due to traces of manganese within the crystal.
Its romantic colour and beautiful luminosity make it a stone full of charm and femininity. More accessible than a pink sapphire or diamond, pink tourmaline is an original and delicate alternative — ideal for those seeking something tender and personal.
With a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, pink tourmaline is a sturdy stone well suited to regular wear. It is, however, softer than sapphire or diamond: we recommend a protective setting (bezel or halo) and a little everyday care to preserve its brilliance over the long term.
Often, yes. Many pink tourmalines are heated or irradiated to enhance or stabilise their colour — a common and lasting practice. Some stones retain a completely natural colour. In every case, we disclose any treatment a stone has undergone, as a matter of transparency.
Rubellite is simply the most intense variety of pink tourmaline, with rich pink-red tones that hold their brilliance even under artificial light. Pink tourmaline refers to softer, more powdery shades. Both belong to the same family of stones.
Rose gold beautifully enhances the stone's tender hues for a soft, romantic effect. White gold or platinum create a clean, refined setting that lets the colour take centre stage, while yellow gold adds a warm, vintage touch. The choice depends on your personal style and skin tone.
The principal deposits are found in Brazil, Mozambique, Nigeria, Madagascar and Afghanistan. Every stone we offer is carefully selected for its colour, clarity and brilliance.
