The teal sapphire marries blue and green in an elusive hue, somewhere between a sunlit lagoon and the deep ocean. A rising star of contemporary fine jewellery, it takes its name from the teal duck, and owes its blue-green balance to naturally occurring levels of iron and titanium — unique to every stone. Our teal sapphires are sourced directly from Madagascar and Sri Lanka, often unheated and always certified. They share the same family and hardness of 9/10 as the blue sapphire, yet offer a radically more individual character — worth comparing to the bicolour sapphire, which keeps these two colours apart rather than blending them.
