Learn more — Padparadscha Sapphire Engagement Rings
The padparadscha sapphire engagement ring is the rarest of all. Its unique pink-orange hue, somewhere between lotus flower and sunset, makes the padparadscha the only sapphire to bear its own name — and the Grail for collectors and lovers seeking the exceptional. Its designation is strictly regulated: it is recognised only by an independent laboratory certificate, which we provide with every stone. Our padparadscha sapphires are sourced directly from Sri Lanka and Madagascar, then set to order in our Paris workshop: with a hardness of 9/10, they lend themselves to every style, from solitaire to toi-et-moi. Do these warm tones speak to you? Also explore the romantic pink sapphire ring or the vibrant orange sapphire. FAQ - PADPARADSCHA SAPPHIRE ENGAGEMENT RINGS

Each creation begins with a personalised consultation, in Paris, Angers or by video consultation, to understand your wishes, your story and your budget.

Our experts guide you through the selection of stones and the development of your jewellery design.

Our designers then create several sketches to help you visualise the piece.

Once the stones and design have been approved, our master jewellers handcraft your creation in our workshops, to the highest standards of excellence of Maison Bonnot Paris.

How does the bespoke creation process work?

Yes, all our stones are certified by renowned laboratories such as Bellerophon, ICA GemLab, London Gem Lab, and others, guaranteeing their authenticity and exceptional quality.

Are your stones certified?

A symbol of joy and energy, the Padparadscha sapphire embodies serene passion and lasting sincerity.
It stands apart from all other gemstones through the subtlety of its reflections: pink, orange and sometimes golden, depending on the light.

A Padparadscha sapphire engagement ring expresses a radiant and rare commitment, a choice as personal as it is bold.

It is the stone for couples seeking colour, individuality and the symbolism of renewal.

The name “Padparadscha” comes from the Sinhalese padmaraga, meaning “lotus flower”.
For a sapphire to be truly recognised as Padparadscha, it must display a precise balance between pink and orange, with neither hue dominating.

The shades may vary:

  • Soft pink with apricot nuances: feminine and romantic.
  • Intense pink-orange: warm and vibrant, evoking sunset.
  • Light pink-orange: soft, luminous brilliance, highly sought after in fine jewellery.

This chromatic duality is what makes every stone truly unique — no two are alike.

A unique colour: the union of pink and orange

We assist many clients throughout France and internationally.

A video consultation is initially offered to understand your wishes, expectations and project.

Thereafter, personalised support is provided via WhatsApp or email, to guide you through every stage.

We send you detailed photos and videos of the selected stones (or jewellery), to reassure you in your choice.

You are also free to send us, by message or images, your inspirations, questions or doubts, and we remain at your side throughout the creation process.

What if I cannot travel to Paris?

Yes. Like all sapphires, it is a corundum, with a hardness of 9 out of 10 on the Mohs scale, just after diamond. It is perfectly suited to the daily wear of an engagement ring.

The price mainly depends on the purity of the colour (the pink/orange balance), carat weight, clarity, origin and absence of treatment. It is one of the most highly valued sapphire colours: we provide a transparent quotation according to the chosen stone and design.

Rose gold brings out the stone’s pink nuance, while yellow gold accentuates its orange warmth; white gold or platinum offer a more neutral, luminous contrast. The choice depends on the exact shade of your stone and your preferences.

Gentle cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft brush is sufficient. Avoid knocks and harsh chemicals, and have the setting checked regularly by a jeweller.

Bonnot Paris places the expertise of its specialists at your disposal to guide you in the creation of a sapphire engagement ring that reflects you.
Each stone is hand-selected, directly in Sri Lanka, to guarantee quality, traceability and absolute beauty.
