Padparadscha Sapphire Engagement Ring
Damien’s padparadscha sapphire engagement ring was custom-made in our workshop. This contemporary creation showcases an exceptional padparadscha sapphire, prized for its delicate shades blending pink and orange, enhanced by natural diamonds.
Damien’s brief
Damien wanted a modern, elegant and timeless engagement ring, highlighting a rare centre stone. His choice naturally fell on an oval padparadscha sapphire, whose soft, luminous hues are enhanced by a yellow gold setting and discreet pavé-set natural F/VS quality diamonds.
The 1.56-carat padparadscha sapphire
The central padparadscha sapphire weighs 1.56 carats and was cut into an oval by our partner lapidaries. Unheated, it originates from Madagascar, a source renowned for the quality of its sapphires. Its unique colour subtly blends shades of pink and orange that change with the light, offering a different radiance at every moment. This natural variation makes padparadscha one of the rarest and most sought-after sapphire varieties. Finally, with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, it offers excellent resistance to everyday wear. All our stones are certified by independent or international gemmological laboratories.
The ring in detail
The padparadscha sapphire takes centre stage in this creation and reveals all its character through a 750 thousandths yellow gold setting. Natural F/VS quality diamonds illuminate the centre stone and enhance its radiance without drawing attention away from it. The ring’s modern lines highlight the balance between the warmth of yellow gold, the softness of the padparadscha’s hues and the timeless brilliance of diamonds. This bespoke creation combines simplicity, elegance and contemporary refinement.
