Guillaume’s teal sapphire engagement ring
Guillaume’s teal sapphire engagement ring illustrates our bespoke expertise. It showcases one of our favourite stones: an unheated Madagascan teal sapphire with a fascinating blue-green hue.
Guillaume’s brief
Guillaume wanted a bespoke engagement ring centred around a blue stone with green reflections. We therefore selected an unheated 1.59-carat teal sapphire from Madagascar. Guillaume drew inspiration from Art Deco and modern design, and wished to create a ring with a double band.
The 1.59-carat teal sapphire
The central teal sapphire weighs 1.59 carats and was oval-cut by our Sri Lankan lapidaries. Furthermore, it comes from Madagascar, its country of origin. Indeed, its chameleon-like colour combines deep blue and luminous green. This hue also changes according to its exposure to light, making each stone unique. Teal sapphire is therefore among the most sought-after varieties. This stone is unheated, a guarantee of authenticity and a major asset in today’s market. Finally, its hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale ensures excellent resistance to everyday wear. All our stones are certified by independent or international gemmological laboratories.
The ring in detail
The teal sapphire occupies the heart of the ring. It is complemented by D/IF quality diamonds supporting the centre stone. These diamonds are pear- and round-cut. The 750‰ yellow gold setting enhances the stone’s blue-green nuances. Finally, the piece combines romance with contemporary refinement.
