Jérémy contacted us to create a bespoke birthday ring featuring one of our favourite stones. He was looking for an exceptional, unheated Mahenge spinel, set in a romantic and elegant creation. Furthermore, the setting had to enhance the centre stone while providing it with a luminous setting. Our workshop therefore designed a piece combining purity of line and classic refinement.
The central Mahenge spinel weighs 2.17 carats and comes from the Mahenge region of Tanzania. Indeed, this stone is unheated, which is a major asset in today's market according to GIA criteria. Its unique, vibrant neon pink colour is characteristic of the finest spinels from this legendary mine. Moreover, its hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale ensures excellent resistance to everyday wear. Unheated Mahenge spinel remains one of the most sought-after varieties among enthusiasts and collectors.
This Mahenge spinel birthday ring features a centrally positioned cushion-cut stone set with claws. For example, a pavé of round natural F/VS diamonds adorns the band on either side. F/VS diamonds represent one of the highest qualities on the market, combining exceptional whiteness with remarkable clarity. Furthermore, the 750/000 rose gold setting echoes the neon pink tones of the centre stone. The ensemble thus creates a perfect balance between chromatic intensity and timeless elegance.
