The rose gold emerald ring created for Karl illustrates Bonnot Paris’s bespoke expertise. This floral creation showcases a magnificent oval-cut Zambian emerald. Moreover, it reflects our expertise in creating unique pieces for each client. Thus, this piece attests to the diversity of our high jewellery creations.
Karl’s brief
Karl contacted us to create a unique engagement ring with a central emerald. He was looking for an oval-cut Zambian stone, showcased in an original floral style. In addition, he wished to combine rose gold with accents of sapphires and diamonds. Thus, our workshop designed a creation combining pastel softness with assertive elegance.
The 1.24-carat Zambian emerald
The central emerald weighs 1.24 carats and comes from Zambia. Indeed, since the 2010s, this country has established itself as the world’s second-largest source of emeralds. Its green hue combines depth and light, with a slightly bluer tone than Colombian emeralds. Moreover, its oval cut particularly enhances the stone’s colour and clarity. The emerald belongs to the beryl family and has a hardness of 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale. This 1.24 ct size offers a striking presence on the finger.
The rose gold emerald ring in detail
This creation features an floral design that is original and romantic. For example, pastel sapphires (pink, violet, peach) accompany the central emerald. In addition, natural diamonds add sparkle and brilliance to the ensemble. The setting in 750/000 rose gold creates an unexpected chromatic dialogue with the green of the emerald. Thus, the overall composition forms a pastel palette that is both soft and full of character.
