Renaud’s brief

Renaud contacted us to create a bespoke anniversary ring featuring a captivating gemstone. He was looking for an exceptional, unheated sapphire, set in a refined creation that would showcase its singular colour. Furthermore, the setting had to enhance the central stone without drawing attention away from its blue-violet nuances. Our workshop therefore designed a minimalist piece combining balance and refinement.

The 1.9-carat blue-violet sapphire

The central sapphire weighs 1.9 carats and displays a deep blue colour enhanced by captivating violet undertones. Indeed, this gemstone is unheated, which is a major asset in today’s high jewellery market. Its blue-violet hue is rare and particularly sought after by lovers of sapphires in unusual colours. This blue-violet sapphire ring features a centrally positioned oval-cut stone set with prongs. For example, two natural round F/VS diamonds flank the main stone on either side. F/VS diamonds represent one of the highest qualities on the market, combining exceptional whiteness with remarkable clarity. In addition, the 750/000 yellow gold setting provides a warm contrast that enhances the stone’s deep blue tones.
