The emerald engagement ring created for Paul illustrates Bonnot Paris’ bespoke expertise. This creation showcases a magnificent 1.22-carat square-cut emerald from Zambia. Moreover, this piece reflects our expertise in creating unique pieces for every client. It thus bears witness to the diversity of our high jewellery creations.

Paul’s brief

Paul contacted us to create a unique engagement ring featuring one of our favourite stones. He was looking for an exceptional emerald, set in a creation with an Art Deco style inspired by the 1920s. Furthermore, the setting had to enhance the centre stone while providing it with a luminous showcase. Our workshop therefore designed a piece combining pure geometry with classic refinement.

The 1.22-carat emerald

The centre emerald weighs 1.22 carats and originates from Zambia, one of the most prestigious origins for this stone. Indeed, Zambian emeralds are distinguished by their deep green colour and excellent clarity. Its unique colour combines intense green hues characteristic of the finest stones from this origin. Moreover, its hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale makes it a stone suited to daily wear with care. Emerald remains one of the four major precious stones, alongside diamond, sapphire and ruby.

The emerald engagement ring in detail

This creation features a square-cut emerald in a bezel setting, set within an octagonal halo characteristic of the Art Deco style. For example, a pavé of round diamonds and two F/VS-quality trapezoid diamonds frame the centre stone. F/VS diamonds represent one of the highest qualities on the market, combining exceptional whiteness with remarkable clarity. In addition, the 750/000 yellow gold setting echoes the warmth of the stone and enhances its deep green colour. The ensemble thus creates a perfect balance between modern geometry and timeless elegance.
