Rania’s brief
Rania wanted an elegant, luminous engagement ring that would showcase a rare gemstone with delicate colours. Her choice naturally fell on a padparadscha sapphire, prized for its warm hues and unique character. To preserve a timeless design, we envisioned a diamond-accented solitaire in which the diamonds discreetly and harmoniously complement the centre stone. Yellow gold emerged as the ideal metal to reveal the full richness of the sapphire’s colours.

The 1.30-carat padparadscha sapphire
The central padparadscha sapphire weighs 1.30 carats and was cut into an oval shape by our partner lapidaries. It comes from Madagascar, an origin renowned for producing magnificent sapphires with natural colours. This exceptional variety is distinguished by its subtle blend of pink and orange, a particularly rare combination of hues that changes according to the light. This ability to reveal different nuances throughout the day makes the padparadscha sapphire a precious gemstone highly sought after by collectors and jewellery enthusiasts alike.
