The teal sapphire Art Deco ring created for Damien showcases Bonnot Paris’s bespoke expertise. This creation highlights a magnificent unheated oval teal sapphire from Madagascar. Moreover, it reflects our expertise in creating unique pieces for each client. Thus, this piece demonstrates the diversity of our high jewellery creations.
Damien’s brief
Damien contacted us to create a unique Art Deco-style engagement ring. He was looking for an exceptional unheated teal sapphire, set in a contemporary creation inspired by the 1920s. Furthermore, the setting had to showcase the centre stone without concealing it. Thus, our workshop devised a design combining pure geometry and refinement.
The 1.07-carat teal sapphire
The central teal sapphire weighs 1.07 carats and comes from Madagascar. Indeed, this stone is unheated, which is a major asset in today’s market. Its unique colour combines shades of deep blue and luminous green. Moreover, its hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale ensures excellent resistance to everyday wear. The unheated teal sapphire remains one of the most sought-after varieties among connoisseurs. This 1.07 ct size offers a distinctive presence on the finger without excess.
The teal sapphire Art Deco ring in detail
This creation features an octagonal bezel setting characteristic of the Art Deco style. For example, a pavé of natural F/VS quality diamonds surrounds the central sapphire. F/VS diamonds represent one of the highest qualities on the market. Moreover, the 750/000 white gold setting particularly enhances the stone’s blue-green tones. Thus, the overall design creates a perfect balance between modern geometry and classic elegance.
