The emerald ring created for Alexandre illustrates Bonnot Paris’s bespoke expertise. This creation showcases a magnificent 1.55-carat emerald-cut emerald from Zambia. Moreover, this piece is part of our expertise in creating unique pieces for each client. As such, it reflects the diversity of our high jewellery creations.

Alexandre’s brief

Alexandre contacted us to create a bespoke anniversary ring featuring an exceptional stone. He was looking for an emerald of exceptional clarity, set in a refined and elegant creation. Furthermore, the setting had to enhance the centre stone in an architectural design highlighting its purity. Our workshop therefore designed a two-tone ring with graphic lines that showcase the gem’s transparency.

The 1.55-carat emerald

The centre emerald weighs 1.55 carats and comes from Zambia, one of the most prestigious origins for this stone. Indeed, Zambian emeralds are distinguished by their deep green colour and excellent clarity. Its unique colour combines intense green hues characteristic of the finest stones from this origin. Moreover, its hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale makes it a stone suitable for daily wear with care. The emerald remains one of the four major precious stones alongside diamond, sapphire and ruby.

The emerald ring in detail

This emerald ring features a centrally positioned emerald-cut stone in a claw setting. For example, the ring has a graphic construction with a split shank that opens around the stone. This architectural structure creates an effect of movement and brings a contemporary dimension to the creation. Moreover, the two-tone setting in 750/000 yellow gold and white gold contrasts subtly with the stone’s deep green. The overall design thus creates a perfect balance between contemporary design and timeless elegance.
