Candice’s brief

Candice contacted us to create an engagement ring combining modernity and refinement with a distinctive stone. She was looking for an exceptional unheated teal sapphire, set in a contemporary creation with graphic lines. In addition, the setting had to enhance the centre stone with a diamond pavé bringing light to the band. Our workshop thus designed a piece combining geometric purity with a strong presence.

The 2.07-carat teal sapphire

The central teal sapphire weighs 2.07 carats and displays a deep blue colour with characteristic greenish undertones. Indeed, this stone is unheated, which is a major asset in today’s high jewellery market. Its hue combines particularly striking notes of intense blue and luminous green. Moreover, its hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale guarantees excellent resistance to daily wear. This size exceeding 2 carats offers a remarkable presence on the finger and rare chromatic intensity.

The princess-cut teal sapphire ring in detail

This princess-cut teal sapphire ring features a centrally positioned, claw-set princess-cut stone. For example, a pavé of natural round diamonds totalling 0.14 carats adorns the band on either side of the main stone. The diamonds bring contrasting light that enhances the sapphire’s blue-green depth and multiplies its brilliance. In addition, the 750/000 white gold setting intensifies the gemstone’s colour and provides a neutral setting. The ensemble thus creates a perfect balance between contemporary geometry and timeless elegance.
