Michel’s brief

Michel contacted us to create an exceptional anniversary ring centred on a generously sized blue sapphire. He was seeking a timeless piece, without accompanying diamonds, in which the stone would be the sole star of the composition. Moreover, platinum was the obvious choice for the nobility of the metal and its ability to enhance the sapphire’s deep blue hue. Thus, our workshop designed a pure solitaire with tapered prongs and a pinched band that elevates the stone within a minimalist architecture.

The central blue sapphire originates from Sri Lanka, one of the most prestigious sources of blue sapphires, alongside Burma and Kashmir. Indeed, its weight of 2.52 carats places this stone in the category of prestigious sapphires, sought after for their visual presence and rarity. Its unique colour combines an intense, luminous blue characteristic of the finest stones from this region.
